About this platform

An independent, non-partisan tracker of party proposals for Malta’s General Election on 30 May 2026. Built by Brain.mt.

What we do

Every hour we pull new press releases, news posts and statements from each contesting party. AI summarises them in plain words in both English and Maltese, a human editor reviews each one, and only then does it land on /proposals. You can react with a like or dislike on every card and watch how the country is reacting in real time.

Three rules. No exceptions.

  1. 1. Sourced or silent.

No proposal goes live without a real source URL pointing back to the party’s own press release, social post or news item. Every card links to that source — one click, no edits, no paraphrasing buried under our own commentary. Browse the full list at /sources.

  2. 2. Equal visual weight.

Every contesting party gets the same colour intensity, the same card size, the same placement rules. We never rank parties by polling. The default order is alphabetical or randomised per session. We do not editorialise on which proposals are “better.”

  3. 3. Transparent AI.

AI assists with summarisation and the EN/MT translation. The model used and the editor who approved each card are recorded against it. AI is never the final word — a human reviews every proposal before publication.

What we don’t do

  • We do not endorse any party, coalition or candidate.
  • We do not accept paid promotion of any political content.
  • We do not fact-check individual claims — we report what each party says, with the source attached, so you can judge for yourself.
  • We do not collect voting-intent surveys. The like / dislike on each proposal is sentiment on that idea, not on how anyone plans to vote.

Polling-day silence

From 23:59 on 29 May until polls close at 22:00 on 30 May 2026 (Malta time), reactions on proposals are paused in line with Malta’s electoral silence rules. Proposals already published remain readable; the leaderboard pauses too.

Languages

Every proposal is published in both English and Maltese. Use the language toggle on any card to switch. The Maltese text is AI-translated and reviewed; if you spot a translation error, please report it.

Found an error?

If a proposal misrepresents what a party actually said, a translation is off, or a source link is broken, email info@brain.mt. Each party also has a right of reply: dispute → review within 24 hours during the campaign period.
